Day 715 – Deliver me

“Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord, and proclaim his deliverance to a people yet unborn, saying that he has done it.” Psalm 22:30-31

“What?” That’s the question we pray will come from the lips of our children and grandchildren. What is the “it” that God has done?

“It” is the opening we have to share our own experience of God in our lives. “It” is the time to share about God’s love for each of us in Jesus. “It” is the ahaha moment that many people are looking for. “It” is the invitation to a renewed relationship God. “It” is the opportunity to point out that God has always loved us, even before we were born.

As Christians, we say that the “It” is the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus…and the continued presence of Jesus in and through the Holy Spirit in our lives. This is what God has done and promises to continue to do. Deliverance is not a one-time event. Deliverance is the daily renewal we are invited to be a part of with God. “It” is the answer to the deliverance and grace we are invited to share with everyone, including the generations to come.
